I began my art career in 1968, after completeing a three year active duty stint in the US Navy. I began studing commercial art, through the Famous Artist School, just before returning home to Atlanta, Ga.. After three years, I decided I really wanted to do representational art which shows your subject matter as it really is. I was fortunate to meet one of America's finest portrait artist, Sarah Brown, who has a studio in Atlanta. In 1970 I began studing with Sarah, and these many years later, you will still find me in the Tuesday night art class painting away. I give Sarah the credit for much of my sucess as an artist and custom picture framer. It was she who taught me the basics needed to succeed as an artist. She also encouraged me to get into custom picture framing. She is a wondeful friend and mentor.
